Free Website Analysis Tool
I came across some free website analysis software a couple of months ago and I’ve been using it to see if its good. It is so I’m happy to let you know about it. Its called traffic travis. You download the software onto your computer and then can use it whenever you like. As with all these things there is an upgrade version but I’m not using that. Basically the upgrade allows more websites to be analysed and to create reports.
The free version lets you do a whole load of stuff but below are the things I have used the most;
1. check out a keyword phrase you want to rank for and gives you an indication of how easy it might be to outrank the top 20 sites by looking at the top sites and how many back links, age, page rank, keywords found in title, header etc. they have
2. anaylse your website and specific keywords and gives you a score on how good you’ve optimized your site for them and ideas on how to improve
3. check your website position in the top 100 google spots as well as yahoo and other search engines for specific keyword searches. It also remembers the information so you can see how well you are doing – your last position and best position.
